Call to Order-7:00pm Attendance: Frank: Kellogg, Todd Schoffelman, Linda Blackmore Mike Knight, Devon Walton, Erick Sutherland 2. Approval of Minutes - Moll. Sept. 26, 2005 - minutes approved as written. 3. YMCA rental proposal- The YMCA proposal for using the field house will wait until the City has a chance to book possible camps and clinics. After all events have been booked, the City and YMCA will get together and work out a schedule that benefits both parties. The rental rate of $50 a day is still on the table by the YMCA. City staff is looking into the costs associated with the field house to help determine if that rate will work. 4. Meeting Room Rental Policy - The commission discussed the rental of meeting rooms at length. The question is whether we should rent out both rooms to a local non-profit once a week for an undetermined amount of time. The commission made it clear that they would like to see this happen due to the group involved. City and YMCA staffhave some concerns about losing the availability of both rooms one night per week. City staff said it was willing to do what the commission thought was in the best interest of the City. Ms. Blackmore at that time noted that the YMCA was paying for Y:. of the room through the lease agreement and that she was unwilling to give up her Y:. of the room. If the group involved is unable to fit into Y:. of the room then the YMCA/Community Center would be unable to meet their request. The Commission requested that staff get the interested party in for a look at the community rooms and discuss the options available to them. Other areas of the facility will also be laid out as an option. This item will be continued at the next meeting. 5. Meeting Adjourned- Next Meeting - Monday October 24, 2005 - 7PM City Hall
