Call to Order -7:00pm Attendance: Frank Kellogg, Todd Schoffelman, Mike Knight, Devon Walton, Traci Wamberg-Lemm, Julie Trude, Erick Sutherland \ ) 2. Approval of Minutes - Mon August 8th, 2005 - minutes approved as written. 3. City Council Wrap Up- The commission was updated on the meeting with the city council. Some highlights included the approval of all the fees that commission had set for open gym, walking, rental fees. Mr. Kellogg was going to check with Council Member Jacobson on his thoughts on other events/programs that he mentioned he would like see offered or at least looked into. Mr. Sutherland was going to check with the Courtyards of Andover on their business and see ifthere was any sort of partnership that could be formed. Mr. Sutherland was also directed to look into the field house floor and see what sort of punishment that floor could take when it comes to other events that may cause damage to the floor. 4. Review Fees and Polices- The commission had a chance to review the fees and polices that were going to council on 9/6. After a few typos's and changes to the layout the documents were approved to be submitted. Updated - Fees and polices were approved by council on 9/6. 5. Facility Handbook- The handbook received some short discussion. This item continues to be updated, and will again be on the next agenda. \ ) 6. Grand Opening- Grand Opening is set for 9/1 0 from 1 - 4pm. The commission was updated on what it can expect to see for a program. The ceremony will start at lpm and run for approximately Y, hour. Following the ceremony there will be cake, soda, popcorn available in the lobby. There will also be free open skate and open gym until 4pm. 7. Other Business - Traci with Youth First updated the Commission on the program that they will run at the Community Center. Traci had asked if Monday and Wednesday would work for her staff to come to the Community Center. The Commission approved the change in dates, The commission was updated on the color brochure that city staff is working on. The brochure wi 11 be used as a marketing tool for the Community Center. There was some discussion on getting volunteers to help out at the Community Center with the different programs. Traci said she would help with this process. 8.
