Call to Order - 7:00pm I Attendance: Mike Knight, Todd Schoffelman Linda Blackmore, Frank Kellogg, Devon Walton, Erick Sutherland, Julie Trude 2. Approval of Minutes - June 13,2005 minutes approved as written 3. Mter School Youth Programming - Traci with Youth First was unable to attend. The Commission did talk about there interest in Youth First programming, but wants to make sure that any programs running out of the Community Center do not conflict with those currently running at the local schools. The commission expressed an interest in inviting the local school district representative that runs the school programs to come in and share their thoughts on program options. 4. Field House Report - Scheduling has begun for the fall/winter season. The two volleyball groups along with the high school are currently the only users with a request in. Open gym schedules will start to take shape for July/August over the next two weeks. Because of the lack of users in September/October it was discussed to invite the high school to take additional hours if needed. All other fall hours will go to open gym times, if additional users do not come forward. Mr. Sutherland will update the Commission on hours rented at the next meeting. Mr. Kellogg requested a report to show gross hours rented vs. gross hours available. / / 5. Rules and Regulations - The commission has directed staff to start compiling information for a manual that deals with all the rules and regulations when it comes to the users of the facility. The manual will be made available to all staff of the Community Center, and will address most situations that could arise when dealing with the public. City staff will begin this process and report back to the commission in a few weeks. 6. Construction Update - Mr. Sutherland updated the Commission on the construction of the Community Center. 7. Other Business - The Commission has directed staff to set up a booth at the Andover Fun Fest. This will provide a way to communicate the things the Commission and staff have been working on and update the public on programs and facilities that will be available to all the citizens of Andover. Items that staff will prepare for the booth include an open gym schedule for July and August, information on the walking program, a map of the facility, sign up sheets to express interest in programs that could be offered, birthday information, and donations. 8.
