HomeMy WebLinkAboutNovember 18, 1971 A special meeting of the Grow Township Zoning and Planning Commission was held November 18, 1971 at Crooked Lake school. Chairman Norm Stout called the meeting to order at 7:50 PM with Commission members Holasek, Jones, Langseth, Nash and Rither present. David Hansing, P. E. of Tri-State Engineering, Grow Township consulting engineer, also present. Discussion was held regarding the preliminary plat of Beaudry.' s 3rd Addition. Commission reviewed discussion held November 16, 1971. Holasek reviewed minutes of October 26, 1971 Commission meeting noting comments of Christenson, namely:"[the Commission] could not approve it "subject to", we have too many in that category now." Holasek stated that to approve the plat "subject to" the suggested revisions and changes would not be consistent with the way the Commission acted on the 26th of October. Hansing stated that approving "subject to" can lead to problems later on, that the Township would be required to watch the development as it progresses to insure that the provisions of the agreement are fulfilled and that a more positive approach would be to recommend disapproval until the final plat reflects the required datum. After discussion, it was moved by Holasek and seconded by Rither to recommend to the Town Board of Supervisors the disapproval of the preliminary plat for Beaudry's 3rd Addition due to (I) errors and omissions as set forth in the Engineers Review Letter dated November 15, 1971, (2) Butt lots in Block 2 are not consistent with the remainder of the subdivision, (3) Developer did not submit a suitable drainage plan, (4) Lack of sewer easements around marsh area and (5) Lack of "suitable and acceptable" park area for public use. Motion carried. Meeting was adjourned at 8:35 PM. Robert A. Rither, Clerk, Zoning and Planning Commission
