HomeMy WebLinkAboutMarch 2, 1971 A meeting of the Grow Township Zoning and Planning Commission was held ~brch 2, 1971 at Crooked Lake school. Chairman Norm Stout called the meeting to order at 7:55 PM with Commission members Christenson, Holasek, Jones and Rither present. Co~~ission continued discussion of proposed platting ordinance. Co~~ission reviewed sections 440:50 Sub. 3 through 440:70 Sub. 5e of the Golden Valley ordinance. Commission members agreed that the area along Coon Creek should be given special consideration with respect to easements in order to protect and preserve said area as a green belt. No action taken, discussion continued to March 16, 1971. Holasek asked about the status of the proposed junkyard and snowmobile ordinances. Stout stated that Coon Rapids had adopted a new snowmobile ordinance and that we were waiting for its publication before taking action on ours.-The NIMLO junkyard ordinance had been reviewed by the Commission and was ready to be reviewed by the town attorney. Rither stated that Commission work was completed except for the screening provision in the junkyard ordinance. Bradley was to meet with Anoka County agents and formulate a screening plan. Rither suggested that the ordinances be considered at the March 16 meeting. Christenson agreed to contact town attorney, have attorney review the proposals, and meet with the Commission on the 16th of ~~rch. Rither agreed to contact Bradley regarding the screening plan.
