OLD BUSINESS
Cedar Crest - LaValle dredging bid was turned over to the Chairman. Frank Preiner
will have his bid to the Chairman before October 16. It was decided that the
secretary should write thank you letters to each of the people who helped clear
the Cedar Crest park area.
Green Acres - The secretary had checked with the County and it was found that the
area in Green Acres designated as park has not been recorded as such. The Township
minutes reflect, however, that the park was officially dedicated and accepted.
A new deed will have to be requested and filed with the County.
Shady Knoll - The neighbors want to know if we can put in a skating rink, light
and take care of the flooding. The neighbors will prepare site and maintain rink
if necessary.
Meadow Creek - Jim Griswold mowed the grass in the park. Says it's pretty full of
weeds. Will be cleaned up under summer maintenance program next year. We'll have
the deed for the property by our next meeting.
Coon Creek Bridge - Purchase agreement has been signed. If bridge is built, school
will plow snow on path and bridge.
Chapman Park - Fencing - Jim Griswold had made nine calls. Poles are approximately
$2.00 each, cable $1.50 per lineal foot. The Chairman will continue to check on
availability of poles - possibly from Anoka Electric. Jim Kappelhoff mentioned
that the debris was still on the park site, and should be hauled away.
Flooding skating rinks - The secretary will continue to check for cost of water
trucks. Will check with Janett Eveland for name of company from last year.
Signs - Wally Arntzen has router and will do signs when he has time. The secretary
will write thank you letters to all those who helped on the Chapman park project and
will request suggestions for name of park.
