The idea of a Township flag was discussed. Jerry Lapham suggested that the Park Board sponsor a contest, announce it in the next newsletter, and offer a prize to the winner (best design) providing the prize is approved by the Town Board. The secretary will direct a letter to the Town Board asking their permission to have said contest and offer a monetary prize. Art Sloth suggested that even if the Board does not approve the monetary prize that we have the contest anyway. Jim Kappelhoff stated that he had talked to a gentleman at the University of Minnesota and it looked favorable for our study, however, the final decision will be made later and he will be notified regarding the study this spring. Art Sloth stated that he had contacted the DNR who said they hadn't been stocking , Crooked Lake with fish because there was no access. However, now with the access / provided by our park property they would be stocking walleyes in the Lake this year. The neighbors in the Chapman Addition would like to call their playground "GroTown' s Li'l Acres" per Jim Kappelhoff. No definite action taken. A timetable for the coming year was discussed. It was decided that a special meeting would be held for the residents on March 7 at the Town Hall. At that time we would receive their input and work from there. Interested parties from each neighborhood will be notified by the secretary and an article will be placed in the "Union" announcing this meeting. One item that was suggested for the coming year was to place sand points at each area where there would be a skating rink so we don't have the same problem as this past season - no one to flood the rinks. Art Sloth moved that we accept the budget as proposed for 1975, a copy of which is attached to and becomes a part of these minutes. Motion seconded by Jerry Lapham; motion carried.
