MINUTES OF THE PARKS/RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD REGULAR KlNrHLY MEETING HEm
MAY 8, 1975 AT THE CDMMUNI'IYCENTER
Meeting was called to order at 7:38 p.m. by Chairman James Griswold.
Attending in addition to the chairman were members Britton, Rzeszutek,
Lapham, Jack and Heidelberger.
Guests were Ron Smith, Bonnie Hoffman, Wesley Mand.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read on
a motion by Lapham, second by Jack.
OLD BUSINESS
Northwoods - Phil Rzeszutek reported that the road restrictions were
still on and as soon as they were lifted Burton Kraabel would be
hauling in fill and grading the ballfield.
Green Acres - The park equipment is being assembled and should
be in and set the weekend of May 10-11.

Summer Recreation Program - Has been tabled at the Council level.
Motion made by Lapham, seconded by Rzeszutek to send another letter
to the Council stressing the urgency for the OK for the summer
rec program.
Sand points - Phil Rzeszutek reported that they were unable to
install the sand points on the previous Friday, but that the man
with the auger equipment would be back later in the summer to help
install the points.
Lions Park - The ballfield area had been walked over and it had been
decided that the Southeast corner of the area designated for ball fields
had been chosen as the best spot. Phil Rzeszutek moved that we request
the Council to direct the engineer to establish grade for the entire
baseball area as corrected on proposed plan. Motion seconded by
Jerry Lapham; carried.
Job Requirements - The letter has been written, signed and sent to
the Council. The Job Requirements were made a part of the April
minutes.
NEW BUSINESS
P & Z Items - Ron Smith presented his sketch plan of the area
previously perused under the name of Sketch Plan "C". After discussion
regarding the large lowland park area to the East and a proposed
2-1/2 acre or larger park area in the main development, Dave Jack
moved that we take the matter under advisement until the next meeting
\ where it will be looked at again; seconded by Griswold; carried.

New Business - Continued
Previous Council Action - Nothing, as usual.
Red Oaks Park - No action taken.
Ordinance Establishing Park Board - Rough draft of resolution will
be drawn for next meeting and will be discussed at that time.
Elections will be held at the June meeting.
Phil Rzeszutek moved that we request the Council to make an additional
appointment to the Park Board to replace Jim Kappelhoff; seconded
by Jerry Lapham; carried.
Phil Rzeszutek moved that we recommend Bonnie Hoffmann be appointed
to fill the position of Jim Kappelhoff; seconded by Jim Griswold;
carried.

Motion made by Lapham, seconded by Britton that the meeting adjourn.
Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 10:30 p.m.
