MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE PARK/RECREATION ADVISORY
BOARD HELD ON HA.RCH 8, 1976 AT THE ANDOVER COMMUNITY CENTER.
The meeting was called to order at 7:33 by acting Chairman Jerry
Lapham. Cecil Heidelberger and Philip Rzeszutek were in attendance.
Sylvia Britton and P & Z liaison Mark Arnold were absent.
The meeting regularly scheduled for the first Monday of the month,
Harch 1, 1976, was cancelled due to inclement weather and two
members being out of town.
MINUTES
MOTION by Mr. Rzeszutek, second by Mr. Heidelberger that the
minutes of the February 2, 1976 meeting be approved. Motion
carried unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS
The light has been ordered for Quickstrom Park. No one was
present to report if it had been installed.
RED OAKS

Mr. Lapham reported that he had spoken to Rex Stockwell of
T.K.D.A. about the problem of the pond at Red Oaks. He was told
they would be out to inspect the situation before flood waters
were a problem.
Mr. Stockwell also told Hr. Lapham that something would
have to be set up for the Park Board to review sewers going
through park areas in the City.
WARHING HOUSE
Mr. Rzeszutek reported on materials and cost of bringing
the warming house up to code. The list is as follows:

The Hockey Association would be willing to help with the
expense but the Park Board feels the City should pay for every-
thing if it will be open to the public. The Park Board has no
money allocated for this project in its current budget.
ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION
Tom Pahl of the Lions Club will be invited to the next
meeting in an attempt to begin organization of the Athletic
Association.
MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
Jim Thurston, Building Inspector/Maintenance Supervisor
will be invited to the next meeting to coordinate the schedule
for park maintenance for the spring and summer months.
COMPREHENSIVE PARK DEVELOPMENT PLAN
Each person received a copy of two Park Plans from neighboring
cities to study. The secretary was asked to acquire copies of
the Open Space and Recreation Development Guide from the Metropolitan
Council.
