They are not yet hooked up to sanitary sewer which is another $418.00. Jim Thurston stated they could get $15-20,000 on the open market. An anonymous spectator in the audience stated Ron Mahle of 2930 Bunker Lake 'Blvd. is interested in selling his property also and is open to an offer from the City. The secretary was asked to get an estimated fair market value on this property plus the assessments. The feeling of the Corr~ission is that if we could acquire these lots, they, along with the boat land, would make a very nice park on the north end of Crooked Lake. MOTION by Rogers, seconded by Lapham, in regard to those two parcels becoming available, we ask that the'Council direct staff to investigate the feasibility of acquisition. Some remodeling is being done which will affect the assessed market value on this property in the 1978 assessment. This property is in better condition and on the open market could sell for $25,000 to $30,000 as it is also in the lower price range for livable properties. These estimates of value are just estimates and could be lower or higher depending on many unknown factors. Tim Erkkila is coming to the meeting next Thursday to talk about what progress has been made re the park plan. Crooked Lake Homeowner's Assoc. wanted to be on the agenda - something about DNR not stocking Crooked Lake any more. Peter LeBrun of Dehn's Add. wanted to be on the agenda - he wants to cut trees in Dehn 1 sPark. Only received one copy of a revised Oak Hollow Plat - They left the north end park the same and took out the south end one completely cutting area down to 5 acres , ... instead of 5.62. o Bids for the tennis court were opened yesterday. Tim Erkkila wants to present the bids to the Council next Tuesday to get things rolling. He is going to recommend not to accept the electrical portion - paving and fencing are o.k. ~ electrical came in way too high. He is sending a letter explaining this. All the paperwork, etc. on 1977 construction season has been filled out re getting grant money. Met Council acknowledged receipt of our application for 1978 construction season. I have received an order blank from DNR for seedlings. Aquazyme confirmed our order for one toilet to be delivered on or before 12-1-77. Bob has repaired the swing set in Langseth Park-did it alone and thought he had a hernia for a few days. REMINDER! ! ! o The City Council will not act on anything the park board sugges~ without a representative being there. So....nothing has been done on the land purchase subject, Col. Hgts. and the pumper truck and they will not act on the tennis court bids next Tues. unless somebody shows up. I didn't put the Eagle Scout project on the agenda since I haven't heard anything from anybody . r--" '-J Attached are the bid results on the tennis courts.
