Andover Community Park Complex 1. 144 hours per month. 6 months equals 864 hours (mid-April to mid-October) 2. Special projects of 56 hours. 3. Total: 920 hours B. Remaining Parks Woodland Terrace, Pine Hills Red Oaks West, Rose, Cedar Crest, Nordeen's lot, Green Acres, Forest Meadows, Fox Meadows, Pleasant Oaks Northwoods West and Northglert II Total Acres: 71.4 1 acre requires 25 hours maintenance per year. (12.5 hours/6 months) Therefore, 12.5 hours x 71.4 acres equals 892.5 hours C. Summation 920 + 892.5 = 1812.5 hours per six months. Manhours per week required is 71.07. Manhours at best avaliable is 40. Manhours short to maintain parks is 31 per week. II. Capital Equipment Installation and 1986 Improvements These parks are scheduled for improvement with 1986 budgeted dollars: Northg1en II, Pleasant Oaks, Lunds evergreen Forest Meadows, Rose, Rum River South and Woodland Terrace. (Also ACPC) Manhour Requirement is as follows: ACPC 104 Other Parks 280 minimum Total: 384 hours or 9.6 weeks ,) ~tI-~~ Fr~ s.tone St~~e April 15, 1986 o o .\ . ) ~ CITY of ANDOVER MEMORANDUM TO: Mayor and City Council COPIES TO: Jim Schrantz FROM: Park and Recreation Commission DATE: April 9, 1986 REFERENCE: Hidden Creek Concerns over the legalities regarding Hidden Creek: 1) Having not received a reply from the city attorney concerning the legality of dedicated park land for use as a fire station--we would like further clarification on whether the one acre dollar value will be lost to the Park fund, as Good Value will not pay that money. 2) The Park and Recreation Commission recommends that the City-Council should not approve the Final Plat for Hidden Creek until Good Value (John Peterson) completes or commits to a firm date to finish Northglen II pathways, etc. The Park and Recreation Commission further recommends this work be completed by June 1, 1986.
