Commissioners Present: Sabel, Kieffer, McMullen, Strootman Also Present: John R. Peterson, Frank Stone APPROVAL OF MINUTES MOTION by Kieffer, seconded by Sabel to approve the September 18, 1986 minutes. Motion carried unanimously. Report from Public Works--Frank Stone Frank Stone, Public Works Supervisor, proposed to the park board that they take $14,560 for a full time person in parks plus $5,000 that the park board has already approved, from the 530 improvement budget. He stressed that improvement of parks does no good if there is no employee to maintain the parks. Although the park commission sympathizes with the situation they were not willing to give this money for a full time person from their 530 account. MOTION by Sabel, seconded by Strootman, that money for a full time employee for parks, although necessary, not be taken from the 530 Capital Improvements account. Motion carried unanimously. MOTION by Strootman, seconded by Kieffer, to accept the large centrally located park as shown on the plat with the addition of Lot 19, Block 7 and widening of walkway to 135th Street by sliding lots 20-28 to the east (realigning block 28 to Lot 1, Block 7).
