PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION MEETING
October 16, 1986
The regularly scheduled Andover Park and Recreation Commission meeting
was called to order by Chairman Kinkade at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, October
16, 1986 at the Andover City Hall, 1685 Crosstown Boulevard N.W.,
hndover, MN.
Commissioners Present: McMullen, Kinkade
Also Present: Ron Smith, Jerry Green, Tony Emmerich, Frank Stone
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
MOTION by McMullen, seconded by Kinkade to approve the October 16, 1986
minutes.
HILLS OF BUNKER LAKE
Discussion: Total acreage is 282 without railroad etc. Chairman
Kinkade stated that the park commission did not want low land and needs
money to develop the park land that they get. The park commission also
was concerned with park land being close to the pond areas. Hills of
Bunker Hills stated most homeowners in this area will be third time
home owners and will not have small children. They also said they did
not expect full credit for the nature area. Lhairman Kinkade said they
would only offer them 25% credit for the nature area (lowland)and Hills
of Bunker Lake would not accept that.
In final discussion it was agreed, if acceptable to the rest of the park
board at the next meeting, that the Hills of Bunker Lake would give park
land as shown on the preliminary plat with revised date of9/29/86,.
they would grade and seed land that was disturbed, and donate $11,500 for
development of large western park at the time of final plat.

REPORT FROM PARK CHAIRMAN
'.
Meadow Creek Christian School has sent in a written request for use of
soccer fields three days a week (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) from 3:30-
6:00 p.m. for their school soccer games. The park board had no problem
with this request but was concerned with maintenance for night games at
city hall. Frank Stone said this would be a problem--the school could
pay for fields to be prepared for night games or arrange to do it. Either
way they would need to attend the next meeting and discuss these arrange-
ments.
