Special Park and Recreation Commission Meeting - October 25, 1988
A special meeting of the Andover Park and Recreation Commission
was called to order by Chairman Marc McMullen at 8:40 P.M., Tues-
day, October 25, 1988 at the Andover City Hall, 1685 Crosstown
Boulevard N.W.
Commissioners Present: Keiffer; Kinkade; Strootman; Ferris,
Sabel; Anderson
Commissioners Absent: None
Also Present: Frank Stone, Public Works Superintendent;
Tony Emmerich; Jerry Green
Chairman McMullen explained that the park in the Hills of Bunker
Lake had not been completed to the satisfaction of Mr. stone and
Todd Haas, therefore this meeting was scheduled.
Mr. stone noted that he met with Mr. Emmerich and Mr. Green today
at the park and the grading has been completed in the ballfield
area. A fence has been put across the driveway and the city will
be installing 'No Motorized Vehicles' signs as soon as they are
received. A white oak that was in the middle of the driveway has
been removed also.
Mr. McMullen stated that it was agreed by the Park Board that the
piles of dirt could remain in the park until spring.
Discussion then centered on the seeding of the property with the
concensus being that if the weather does not cooperate, they can
wait until spring to do the seeding.
The Commission was pleased with what has been accomplished and no
further discussion on this subject ensued.
