There are many nonprofit organizations dedicated to worthy causes. A mission ~
~ statement is designed to convey the purpose fora nonprofit organization. This
~ statement needs to be clear and concise while communicating why the
. ~ organization exists. Those who write a mission statement are aware of the goals
's? of the group, its activities and its priorities. An effective mission statement is the
~ ~ driving force behind a nonprofrt organization.
~ .
~ The mission of the Big Flats Community Center is to enhance the lives of our citizens
.. by providing a quality facility and by offering diverse recreational, educational, cultural,
and public interest activities.
The Big Flats Community Center is a handicapped accessible, multi-purpose, multi-use
facility intended for the use of Big Flats residents of all ages: youth, families, seniors. It
is located on the Big Flats Municipal Campus on Maple Street next to the Town Hall.
New programs are being added daily. For questions and additional information, or if you
would like to teach a class or volunteer, call the Community Center - 562-8443 ext. 303
between the hours of8am and 4pm.
The Roslindale Community School Center Council is a community based, non-profit,
tax-exempt corporation that strives to enhance the quality oflife for residents of
Roslindale and surrounding communities by providing low-cost, quality recreational,
0 cultural, and educational activities for all ages. Programs include: Recreation! Athletics,
Aquatics at the Flaherty Pool, Computer Learning Center, Senior Programming, Tiny
Tots Preschool, After School, Kindergarten, After School Tutoring and Enrichment,
Summer Day Programs, Youth Outreach Programming.
The Archdale Community Center is a community-based, tax-exempt organization
providing quality and affordable recreational, cultural, social and educational activities
and services for the children, youth and families from the Archdale Housing
Development, the Roslindale neighborhood and surrounding communities. Our goal is to
provide all residents with new and exciting programming that is consistent with their
needs such as, fully licensed after school programs for ages 6-12, Boston Youth
Connection for Teens, Computer Center for Youth/Teen Access and Adult Classes,
SERVE New England (purchase of food packages), Membership Drop-In for Homework
Assistance, Smart from the Start Child care Program, STEP & Double. .. . . .
Like "our Fountain" which stands at the heart of the community, so too does the
Community Center. Its mission is to server the Fountain Hills residents by providing an
opportunity to enhance the quality of life for its citizens by:
. Providing a gathering place for civic, non-profit and community events
. Promoting the arts

Frank to contact Mr. Sullivan to set-up meeting date with ACC staff, discuss future
usage options.

. Fun Fest - Participated in meeting 4/23. Working on Skateboard Park Event, Craft
Sale and possible dog demo by Anoka Kennel Club.

of finalizing rental contract information with YMCA staff. Brochure established,
locations and age groups discussed, printing/delivery options finalized, we did receive an
inquiry on at least of the schools contacted. Currently working on an abbreviated
version of the brochure directed to daycare centers for Tot-Time Field trips.
. Andover Summer Hockev Festival Tournaments - Plan, budget, and
registration items all in place. Marketing of the tournaments continue - Ad's in Let's
Play Hockey (began week of2/23), email blasts to district 10 hockey presidents as well
as other district coaches, info in submitted to Sports Week (ECM newspapers, flyers,
Taho Sports.

. Anoka County Kennel Club - The club's board has approved to make the ACC
their new "home". They will host their monthly board meetings here and will reserve FH
space periodically. They've secured a date in November for their 2009 ACMKC Canine
Good Citizen/Therapy Dog International Demo and Certification. 4/09
