. AHYHA Credit Card Usage Request - Tony Howard had indicated an interest in
having the Community Center assist AHYHA in processing credit card payments made
by their hockey participants. Erick contacted, City Administrator, Jim Dickinson, and the
City will not be able to assist AHYHA in processing credit card payments.
. Wireless Internet - The Andover Community Center has established wireless
internet connections. All of the concessions lobby area, ice arena and field house have -
access. We are currently working on adding the wireless connection to the meeting
rooms, near the YMCA entrance.
. North Star Volleyball delinquent payment status - The clubs outstanding 07/08
Season Bill was in the amount of $20,544.48. To-date payments in the amount of
$17,227.25 have been received.
. Commission Vacancy - We've only had one applicant express interest in the open
position. Late January, ads were posted on the ACC website as well as ACC bulletin
0 boards and city hall bulletin board. An ad w~ll be place in the Andover Today newsletter
for Marchi April edition.
. Home Improvement Show - bobby jensen, KARE 11 will be hosting a seminar at
this years show. We've also established "swap" advertising with Home Depot in lieu of
booth rental. Working on expanding Home Depot's presence at next years show and
having them sponsor "kids craft area". Hockey Tourney scheduled for this weekend as
well so we are exploring parking issues/options.
Programming
. . Field Trips - Programming - Brochure established, locations and age groups
discussed, printing/delivery options are being explored once calls have been made to
schools - Next meeting with YMCA 2/17.
0 Andover Elementary Scheduled March 11 & 12.
. Summer Hockey Tournaments - Summer Tournament will start on July 10-12 with
the Mite division. TAHO sports is helping sponsor the event by discounting t-shirts for
all the kids and providing banners to help promote the event. The District 10 referee
scheduler is going to help get the referees and Andover Fire has been contacted to
provide EMT's. The Let's Play Hockey ads will start the week of2/16. More info to
come.
