(612) 755-5100 PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION MINUTES MAY 4, 1995 The Park and Recreation Commission meeting was was called to order by Chairperson Tom Anderson on May 4, 1995 at 7:30 PM, at the Andover City Hall, 1685 Crosstown Boulevard N.W., Andover, Minnesota. Members present: Tom Anderson, Jeff Kieffer, David O'Toole, Roger Paulson, Al Grabowski David Erickson, Jim Lindahl Gary Gorham, Todd Haas Members absent: Also present: Shadowbrook Sketch Plan Discussion, Cont. The Park Commission discussed this briefly with Gary Gorham. Mr. Gorham showed the sketch plan once again and asked the Park Commission to reconsider the possibility of constructing the -'"'\ sidewalk from the main entrance at Bunker Lake Boulevard NW going (~ west along the north side over to prairie Road NW and then extending along Bunker Lake Boulevard NW going west to prairie Road NW over to the Burlington Northern Railroad tracks where the future Coon Creek trail system is going to be constructed. After a brief discussion amongst the Park Commission and with Mr. Gorham and staff, the Park Commission met with Mr. Gorham on site to look at the possibility of constructing the sidewalk. After meeting on site and discussing that with the developer on site, it was agreed to by the Park Commission and Mr. Gorham that a trail should be constructed along this section. The Park Commission and Mr. Gorham are willing to discuss the possibility of having the bikeway/walkway trail constructed with participation from both Mr. Gorham and the City, with the details to be worked out at a future date. The sidewalk would be constructed at the time that the City would bid the utility and street portion. The meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:15 PM.
