ACC Rental Priority Policv Discussion Erick gave a brief background on the current policy and some of his concerns as we move forward. Ted Butler had reviewed the policy and provided some changes to the commission. All commission members shared their thoughts on the policy and expressed their support to re-write the policy to allow those current customers regardless of priority listing an opportunity to receive credit for past history. The committee requested for Ted and Erick to review again and add an appeals process for those customers that may not be satisfied with their schedule. Those customers will have the opportunity to come to the next scheduled ACC Advisory Committee meeting and voice their concerns. A revised policy will be reviewed at the next meeting. Staff UDdate Erick discussed the decision that the MN Revolution soccer club had made to move to another facility. To date about 60% of what they had booked has been resold. The committee commented on reviewing the contract and setting deadlines farther out to allow more time for staff to sell returned hours. Erick briefed the committee on a potential user that was looking to host a dog show for Pit Bulls in the field house. After 0 some discussion it was decided that the dog show was non-compatible due to all the other things happening in the facility. Andover YMCA/Community Center Advisory Committee Minutes November 19, 2007 Page 2 Other Business Jim Dickinson updated the committee on an opportunity that AHYHA had been presented with. The National Sports Center was willing to let AHYHA buy in to a rink to help off set hours needed for the program. At a cost of $250,000 AHYHA would receive the rights to 250-300 prime winter hours at the Super Rink. There are some preliminary discussions taking place that would have the city putting up the money on behalf of AHYHA. The commissions asked for Jim to continue exploring that opportunity on behalf of AHYHA and the city.
