The County Auditor, as required by Sec. 282.07 of Minnesota Statutes, has cancelled all taxes and special assessments and you should make note in your records accordingly. In further explanation, any further attempt to certify said specials on these parcels is contrary to law. Any deferred specials assessed prior to forfeiture, but prorated out over a number of years, are also forfeited. Any further certification on these parcels should give the date of adoption of the assessment. This will allow the Auditor to determine whether the assessment was adopted before or after forfeiture. The watershed advised us of the project in a memo dated 12/10/85 (copied the City Council 12/17/85). Today Al Sannerud called advising us of emergency work and that Andover may be expected to participate in the cost of a 36" pipe, I presume under University Avenue. JES:vv Attach: Larry P. Johnson memo CCWD Memo Map COUNCIL ACTION SECOND BY o CITY of ANDOVER MEMORANDUM Jim Schrantz TO: COPIES TO: FROM: DATE: REFERENCE: La.rry P. Johnson January 14, 1986 Coon Creek Watershed District I received a call today from Al Sannerud, representing the Coon Creek Watershed District, stating that they had to do some emergency repair to Ditch 58-7 serving Pinger Addition in Ham Lake. They have engaged the services of McMillen Repair to do the ditch cleaning. Only the trouble spots are being cleaned, not the entire ditch. Branches 58-7-1 and 58-7-2 are also involved. o This concerns the City of Andover since some of the work is along University Extension Road, which is a boundary line road. Two culverts will need to be replaced and Andover is being aSked to provide or pay for one of the two 36 in. culverts. The repair work started Monday, Jan. 13th. o COON CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT BUNKER HILLS ACTIVmES CENTER 550 BUNKER LAKE BL YD. ANOKA, MINNESOTA 55303 MEMORANDUM Cop.( -ro c. Co., 11./11/8$ Property Owners Aajacent to Ditch 58-7 TO: FROM: RE: DATE: Kenneth W. Holappa, Israelson & Associates, Inc. Repair of Branch Ditch 58-7 (Informational Meeting) December 10, 1985 A meeting will be held in Room "0" of the Bunker Lake Activities Center on Tuesday, December 17, at 7:00 p.m., to discuss the repair of Ditch 58-7. Items to be discussed are as follows: o The project came about because of flooding to the north of Constance Blvd. The most immediate concern is to the north because of homes and drainfields being flooded. The flooding is due to inadequate flow capacity in the ditch becuse of siltation and debris such as trees and brush accumulating in the channel. The ditch will be repaired starting north of 157th Avenue N.W. The first step is the removal of trees and brush along the channe 1. Trees wi 11 ei ther be removed or left for the property owners to take care of depending on the land owner's wishes. Trees will be removed from the bank edge about 10 feet on one bank and 30 feet on the other. The tree removal will probably be done with a ch a in saw and a sma 11 bu 11 dozer. The ditch clean i ng wi 11 be done by a backhoe. . Approximately one to two feet of material will be removed from the ditch and deposited on one or both sides of the ditch. The bottom width of the repaired ditch will be four feet. The side slopes will be constructed on a 2:1 side slope (one foot ri se for every two feet in hori zonta 1 di stance) unt il the existing ground level is reach. The channel will be excavated back to the grade when it was originally constructed in 1918. The excavated material will be placed in ridges called spoil piles. These spoil pil es are placed 10 feet from the edge of the bank and a 3: 1 front slope. a 10 foot top width and a 3:1 back slope to the existing ground. The spoil piles will be sloped and sseeded with perennial rye grass. The repair project will be financed using the Ditch #58 Maintenance fund. cc: {James . DOrls Anoka Schrantz.
