Each meeting we place a lot of material in the packet behind 'the
"Items given to the City Council" with the thought that the City
Council would advise what we should do with the items such as,
O.K., we need information; staff handle, keep Council posted;
place on next agenda.
I would like 5 minutes on each agenda to get Council reaction so
I know particular items didn't get overlooked.
Also, the Council, under this area of the agenda, could put the
item you want to consider on the next regular, work or special
agenda.

Dear Mayor Windschitl:
o
In a continuing effort to maintain and strengthen effective
communication between the Sheriff's Department and your city,
I have made arrangements to appear at your scheduled council
meeting of May 10 at 7:30 p.m. This will permit me to check
on our efforts in providing services to your community, and
also provide an opportunity to get your feedback on ways the
Sheriff's Department might be more effective.
Should you have specific concerns, I would ask you provide
me with notice so I can provide an informed response or bring
an appropriate staff member for additional resource. I would
also appreciate hearing your ideas on the general direction
we might consider for the future.
Our desire is to provide the
available resources. Your ideas
important in achieving this goal.

When I met with you in March concernin~ Coon Creek matters,
you suggested the District Rdministrator and the Rndover
representative attend Council meetings on a regular basis to
update the Council on the activities of the Watershed
District. This was restated in a letter dated March 30,
1988.
Mr. Slyzuk and I would like to attend a Council meeting and
would appreciate being added to the agenda at the earliest
opportunity. There are several things we would like to
discuss with the Council.
We look forward to hearing from you at your earliest
cc.nvenience.
