affairs and planning; has been the city planner in Dayton the past two years; has had experience
presenting information to the Planning Commission in Dayton as well as working on the update of
the comprehensive plan, residential and commercial developments and other planning related items;
would like the opportunity to sit on the other side of the table ITom the resident perspective as a
Commissioner and provide recommendations to the Council; felt there must be a balance between
residential and businesses that will enhance the City of Andover and meet the needs of the
community; agreed it is wise to encourage agricultural lands and open spaces, which are an asset to
the community; there needs to be a balance between land use and residential needs; the issue of
traffic needs to be addressed as Andover grows; does not believe politics should be involved in
making decisions; believes the ordinances and comprehensive plan should be upheld when making
decisions; felt he could make the transition from Staff to Commissioner; should not be a problem
