Schneider on June 17, 1976, at the Andover City Hall, 1685 CrosstO\ill Boulevard N. W., Anoka, Hinnesota, Councilpersons, present: Holasek, Rither, VanderLaan, Windschitl Councilpersons absent: None Also present: City Building Inspector, James Thurston, and City Clerk, P. K. Lindquist ~ÐTION by Schneider, seconded by VanderLaan, to approve the agenda as lfTitten. Vote: Yes; Iblasek, Rither, VanderLaan, Schneider - Present; Windschitl Salary Adjustments Discussed the salary adjustments and corrections as laid out in the letter from the City Clerk dated June 17, 1976. 'ÐTIO~ by VanderLaan, seconded by Rither, to effectuate the follo\ving salary increases based on recommendation of Clerk Treasurer, for Deloris Hanson an increase of 2S¢ TJer hour to attain:an hourly rate of $4.20 and, , for Janett Eveland, an increase of 14¢ per hour to attain an hourly rate of $4.30. He has taken and passed the \vritten examination. The City Council reviewed the chart that Has prepared by the City Clerk on salaries fol Ci ty Officials in surrounding cities. The salary should reflect the responsibility e carries and the fact that he actually holds b,o positions. ~IJTION by Windschitl, seconded by Schneider, that Hr. Lindquist The City Council again referred to the chart that was made up by the City Clerk in February, to try to determine a salary commensurate Hith the job she is doing and the responsibility she is holding, It is very difficult as this is someHhat unique to have the Clerk-Treasurer/Acting Administrator positions all held by one person. TIlis Has discussed at length trying to determine Hhat a fair salary Hould he at this time. IUTION by Holasek, seconded by Schneider, that effective July 1, 1976, the salary for the Clerk Treasurer be increased to $13,300. Vacation Replacement/Building Official ~mION by Rither, seconded by Windschitl, to direct the staff to contact the County and make arrangements to have the County perform inspection for the City of Andover during the period James TIlurston is on vacation, as He have,in previous years. , " Vote: Yes; Holasek, Rither, Windschitl, VanderLaan - Pres¡,nt; Schneider I There is a possibility of working something out Hith surrounding cities for ins]1ection if the County cannot provide anyone. I . Replacement of CETA Employee I It was decided that they should use the recommendation of staff regarding the CETA employee that would be hired. ~OTION by vandeEaan, seconded by Rither, that the City of Andover employ Robert Huscovitz for t e position of maintenance man, to include duties in an inspection and assessing area assigned by the Building Official, at a starting rate of $4.00 per hour, Hi~1 a 90!day probationary period.
