Attending ere Chairman Schneider, Supervisors Christenson and liolasek. Clerk Art Jawors i, Building Inspector Wally Arntzen, Pat Lindquist and Marilyn Kappelhoff. Chairman Schneid r called the meeting to order at 7:50 p.m. Use of the Town all by outside groups was discussed. The Board decided on the following policy 1. Co unity Clubs only - No private parties. 2. A eposit of $25.00 in advance - $15.00 for thc Custodian for st ying and $10.00 to be refunded if the building is left clean an without damage. 3. No regular scheduled or re-oeeuring meetings. 4. No drinking or smoking. The BOard will c ntact Harold Thompson to see if he will accept policing these group meetings. -... Access to the Cl rk's Office and the Xerox machine by unauthorized persons was ¡discussed. The oard decided to have the lock changed to the 'Clerk's Office and to have Narilyn nd Pat run xerox copies for those who request them. :r-¡ Pat Lind~uist an Marilyn Kappelhoff requested to have their pay periods changed ~ from the 15th an 30th of the month, to either once a week or every other week. After some discussion the Board agreed that the girls be paid every other Tuesday, with their time for the preceding two weeks turned in on Monday. Building Inspec or Wally Arntzen stated to the Board that he is disturbed about Ids salary and ontract being discussed at meetings. Wally requested that when the Board is in question of whether he is not working enough or his salary is too much, to Come t him rather than having this matter discussed at meetings. Wally explained the State expects one (1) Inspector shoul inspect a million and a half dollars per year. Wally also stc.tcd he is the lowes paid Building Inspector in comparison to other Communities, wi~~ the amount of w rk that is done. .Supervisor Christenson stated that the discussion with Hally'a sa ary and contract and the amount of work that he does and the responsibilitie that Wally has seems to be out of place in the fact that it is done. Wally's ontract is an agreement between Wally and the Township. No fu~tl1e~ discussion. Discussion on m iling minutes to persons who request them and if the Township should establis a fee. The Board agreed that a charge for mailing minutes will be fifty cents and ten cents if they come in and pick them up. After a lenght discussion among the Board concerning Pat Lindquist and Marilyn Kappelhoff's j b descriptions, salary and benefits, Supervisor Christenéon stated he would formu ate a personnil~pólicy and submit it to the Board for their study and approval. Supervisor Chr stenson moved that the Board give Marilyn and Pat a wage increase effective May 1, 1974 from $3.25 per hour to $3.40 per hour. Second by Supervisor Holasek; mot! passed. Supervisor Ho asek moved that Mr. Triggs be hired for the Assessor's position for the next two (2) ears, with the condition that the Bond from the Insurance Company will cover Mr. Tri gs if he doesn't complete his job. Second by Chairman Schneider; passed. Supervisor Ch istenson declined because his choice for this position was Wally Arntzen. The Deputy Cl rk will call the Insurance Agent, Mr. Chester to see if the Fidelity Bond will inc ude the Assessor.
