Minutes of a PRIORITIES MEETING of the Grow Township Board of Supervisors held
September 30, 1974 at the Grow Community Center.
Present we)~e Chairman Schneider, Supervisor Holasek and Clerk Jaworski.
Absent Supervisor Christenson.
Chairman Schneider called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
The first agenda item ~as the reviewal of a contract with G.W. Anderson and Associates
for setting up 8 set of bookF for the City of Andover. The two Supervisors present
were not satisfied with the need to audit that was agreed upon September 17, 1974,
when Mr. Anderson waß chosen for this task. Because of the difference in costs between
low bid aod Mr. Anderson, the Board present felt they needed the opinion of Attorney
Hawkins before accepting the higher cost and also would like to put a lower total
cost on G.W. Anderson and Associates contract. At this lower point, Mr. Anderson
when reaching it 1;·]Quld need Board approval to proceed. The Board present directed
Clerk Jaworksi to contact G.W. Anderson and tell him to hold off until a fina 1
decision has been mad e. The Board also directed Clerk Jaworski to contact Attorney
Hawkins at home, if possible to get answers to the above questions.
Chairman Schneider stated that Building Inspector Arntzen knew of someone who would
errect post and cable fence around the Township Building site for $2.50 per hour.
Supervisor Holasek made a motion to have Building Inspector Arntzen hire this person
and 8upervise his work~ Second by Chairman Schneider; carried.
Chairman Schneider noted Art Stenquist had contacted him and stated the road project
in his addition was completed. Mr. Stenquist wanted it okayed, so he could sell some
lots. Engineer Kasma reviewed this work noting the following discrepancies:
l. Oneida and 160th Lane needed regradbg.
2. Potalvatomi and 160th Lane need the intersection upgraded.
3. Most of the roads were only 27 feet ~ide in some places, but Engineer
Kasma would accept this deviation.

Chairman Schneider reEull~d Hr. Stenquist and Mr. Stenquist did not understand what
Engineer Kasrna meant. The Board directed Clerk Jaworski to contact Road Overseer
Arntzen who could get Engineer Kasma and Mr. Stenquist together at the site to iron
out'tbese disc.repancies.
Next item was reviewal of blacktop bid for that section of Aztec lying in Valley
View Estates, with heavy wash out problems, l72nd Lane to 172 Avenue. Supervisor
Holasek made a motion to accept the only bid received from H & S Asphalt in the amount
of $3,525, because it 't..-ras the only bid received and on the recommendation of the
Township Engineer Kasma: Second by Chairman Schneider; carried.
