July 25, 1974 at 9:00 p.m.
This meeting was not called to order.
Present Chairman Schneider, Supervisors Ho1asek and Christenson, Clerk Jaworski,
Planning and Zoning members, Robert Rither, Dean Johnson, Allan Miles, Mary VanderLaan,
David Jack and Judy Bush. Andrew Cutter from Anoka County Abstract Company.
Andrew Cutter was introduced to the Board by Chairman Schneider. Mr. Cutter went on to
explain real problems citizens of Grow with metes and bounds descriptions that overlap,
gap, duplicate and land lock can have selling their property and alluded to one specific
problem, the Soley farm on Seventh Avenue, near the river.
After one (1) hour of discussion, the Board agreed to alert citizens to the problem
and agreed to look at a mechanism put together by Mr. Cutter and Roland Anderson, Anoka
County Surveyor to try and solve this problem. A date will be set later to handle this
and Attorney Hawkins will be consulted and will be asked to appear, possibly with

Chairman Schneider asked Supervisor Christenson some questions on letter sent July 16,
1974. Supervisor Christenson clarified points; 1) Building Inspections Department;
2) Bu ild ing Fund. A copy of this letter will be attached as Item I.
Discussion was started by Building Inspector Arntzen asking if the Board had reconsidered
on any equipment on the Township truck. After fifteen (15) minutes of discussion, the
conversation changed with Supervisor Ho1asek noting that he has talked to Attorney Hawkins
and the opinion of Attorney Hawkins was that the Township could not legally pay Building
Inspector Arntzen wife's fare to the International Conference of Building Officials.
Supervisor Ho1asek also noted that being a Supervisor, Hawkins stated he could not bid
on any work for the Township over $1,000, even if they were closed bids.
The discussion moved back to the Township truck with Chairman Schneider stating that
he was against air conditioning the truck. Supervisor Ho1asek was also against air
conditioning the truck. Supervisor Christenson noted many hours are spent in this truck
and it should be air conditioned. The Boards decision was to have Clerk Jaworski
re-advertise for bids with the same specifications as before with one addition, automatic
transmission. The Board agreed that Arntzen could air condition the truck himself, if
he so wished. (l~ ~,ciUd~~'
