The regular monthly meeting of the Grow Township Board of
Supervisors met November 9, 1971, at Crooked La}:e School. The
meeting was called to order at 8:10 P.M. by Chairman Louis Appleby,
with Supervisors Bradley and Schne~er: Zoning and Pianning Com-
mission members Stout, Jones, Ri ther, Christenson and Holasek.
Ralph Soley asked what has been done on his variance. The
Zoning and Planning Con~ission has not made their recommendation
to the To\vnboard yet. Bradley made a motion to table any action on
}.:r. Soley's variance until action is taken by Zoning and Planning.
Schneider seconded.
Next it was questioned if we will use fire numbers? It was
brought out that we all have house numbers, and why couldn't people
paint their addresses on their mailboxes. It was asked if the fire
department is using both the numbers. (housenumbers and fire numbers)
Leroy Winner will check with the fire department on the particulars
and report back at the next meeting.
J.lrs. Good asked if a snow fence could be put up on South Coon
Creek Drive where people have been dumping refuse. Bradle~' made a
motion we take care of the problem by erecting a fence or whatever
is nee essar;y. Schneider seconded.

Carl Smith and '2ill8.rld J.:'laki said that ever since !~ey have tried
to upgrade the road on 175 it washes out worse than before. TOVlll

Lake Blvd. and Xavis; Xavis and 138; and 138 and Crosstown. The
4 lights would cost ~30 each per year. There were no people present
from the area. Bradley made a motion we table this matter until
the next meeting. Bradley seconded.
Next Supervisor Schneider asked Bruce Hay if he would go along
with the same idea for his trailer court as the 6ar$lyle Court?
It would be ~partments and trailer homes. Er. Hay replies, at the
present time, NO! A lengthy discussion was held pn the township
being best served by one park, and if we should appeal to the St~te
Supreme Court. Bradley made a motion that we go ~o the State Supreme
Court, Appleòy seconded. Schneider is on record as being opposed.
Cecil Eeidlberger asked if there had been anyone interested
in being in charge of the playgrounds? Eo, not ~tet. l,t.-'. Eeicllberger
