Anoka, Minnesota 55303 The Regular monthly meeting of the Grow Township Board of Supervisors met July 13,1971 at the Crooked Lake School. Chairman Appleby called the meeting to order at 8:03 P.M. Supervisors Schneider and Bradley were present, along with Zoning ~nd Planning Commission members Christenson, Holasek, Jones, Langseth, Nash and stout. Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved, and a brief financial repQrt was given by the treasurer. The proposed amendment for section 4.04(A) of the Zoning Ordinance was brought before the Board. The Zoning and Planning Commission voted against it unanimously. In checking the maps œt brought out 28 lots that have not had any work done on them. Supervisor Bradley recommended that the amendment be withdrawn upon the recommendation of the Z & P Commission. Supervisor "Schneider asked if we could rewrite the amendment to exclude these 28 lots? Attorney Beens said we could table the proposed amendment, and legally amend the amendment. After some discussion Supervisor Schneider made a motion to table the amendment 1 month, ãnd Supervisor Bradley seconded. It passed. J'f¡r . Boos said the board makes motions and seconds them, and we don't get any say. We are spending a lot of money and getting nothing in return. Nr. Beens stated that the people get to make a motion and second at the Annual Town Meeting in March. Supervisor Schneider said there would be two (2) vacancies next March-and suggested that Mr. Boos run for office. ¥lI'. Heidleberger said that it was hard to hear when they talked and they should speak up or use a public address system. Supervisor Bradley gave a brief report on the meeting with the Coon Creek Watershed District on June 28,1971. He said they are experimenting to see if it can be done by hand rather than machine. They are allowed $10,000 per section a year and any expense over that they assess to the property. Next on the adjenda were the variances of Eldon Hall and James Noen. Building Inspector Langseth checked the water table on the Noen property and it was 6t feet above, but the next lot is tp low. Supervisor Schneider made a motion that we grant the permit-special use to Hr. Moen and Mr. Langseth is to keep a close watch on it. Supervisor Bradley seconded. Supervisor Bradley checked the lot for Hr. Hall and made a motion that we do not grant a variance. Supervisor Schneider said he had checked the wrong lot. Supervisor Schneider seconded Supervisor' Bradley's motion and it was denied, but will check the lot and hold up. Chairman Appleby read a resolution passed by the P.T.A. of Crooked Lake Elementary School. They would like some sidewalks built along portions of Crooked Lake Blvd. and Bu~~er L~~e Blvd. Chairman Appleby asked if Jim N2sh would check the cost for blacktop and concrete. Chairman Appleby will check with the County to see if we can use the right of way. Supervisor Bradley will check with the school district to see if we could use their equipment for the skating rink this Ylinter. , . , page 2 July 13,1971 LeRoy Winner presented a revised registered land survey. The legal description did not meet the drawing. It is a matter of t inch. Supervisor Schneider made the motion and Supervisor Bradley seconded and it passed. Hr. Beens stated that the Zoning and Planning Commission had recieved copies of the proposed revisions on the Junk Yard Ordinance. He also said they would have to keep a record of every car for 36 months, using the title card of bill of sale. Supervisor Bradley LJade a motion that we grant Richard Collins a cigarette license for the Grow Town Tavern. Supervisor Schneider seconded and it passed. Supervisor Bradley made a motion that the communications between the Town Board and Zoning and Planning Commission be increased. Therefore minutes of all meetings will be sent to each member. Supervisor Schneider seconded and it passed. Supervisor Bradley made a motion that we adjourn at 9:27P,V-. Supervisor Schneider seconded.
