HomeMy WebLinkAboutJuly , , ,-- . , The special meeting of the board of supervisors of Grow Township met July 2, 1970 at 7:50 p.m. at Crooked Lake School to consider a proposed resolution to be presented at the next meeting of the Anoka Council meeting. Supv. Winner moved that the board accept the resolution as written. Schne ider seconded it and it possed. The reso lut ion reads: "Whereas Grow Township is in need of sanitary sewer capocity in the area immediately east of Faddler's Addition and assuming that Anoka bas a 0.6 c.f.s. reserve capacity in that area, Therefore, be it resolved that Grow Township requests the use of sa id reserve capoc ity. Grow Township also requests the opportunity, if it is possible, to be serviced through Anoka with said reserve capac ity. " Supv. Schneider moved we order a dozen 30-mile-an-hour speed limit signs. Box 63 Anoka, Minnesota 55303 The special meeting of the board of supervisors met July 9 , 1970 at ClOoked Lake School at 7:55 p.m. Supervisors Winner, Appleby and Schneider were present. Supv. Winner moved that they accept the quit claim deed dated Janucry 17, 1968 and recorded February 27, 1968 in the Anoka County Registrat of Deeds for the road (175th Ave.rN.W.) in the Soley Addition. Route 1 - Box 63 Anoka, Minnesota 55303 The meeting of the board of supervisors of Grow Township was.called to order in the Andoll'er Club House, Tuesday, July 14,8:15 p.m. In attendance were Supervisors Appleby, Schneider and Winner; Planning and Zoning Commission members Jones, Rither, Stout, Holasek, Christianson Langseth and others. Minutes of the last regu lar meeting and the last special meeting were read and approved as corrected. The treasurer's report was given. The resolution which was adopted for submission to the Anoka City Council has not been submitted as yet, on attorney's advice. Gilbert Menkfeld was given the floor. He introduced a representative of Edison Homes who wh ¡shes to bu i Id factory pre-bu i It homes on Menkfe Id 's property. He ind icated the homes met FHA standards. Upon inquiry, building inspector Langseth indicated that the ceilings were only 7-1/2 feet tall as opposed to the 8 feet called for in the building ordinance. Planning and Zoning Commission and board of supervisors will meet Thursday night at Fridley model home to inspect the proposed home. A date for public hearing on the proposed Interim Land Use Plan and Zoning and Planning ordinances was set for Tuesday, August 4,7:30. p.m. Clerk was instructed to determine dates for voter registration and to publish them. . . The ';ick, Quickstrom and trailer court petitions for zoning decisions was brought up rather than put them off till the new zoning ordinance is passed. The following actions were taken: The fick property. Planning and Zoning Commission recommended denying on basis of not meeting regulations for sanitary facilities. Winner moved that Mr. f1ick be denied since the water level does not permit the building of sanitary facilities and a commercial establishment should have them. It was seconded and passed. Qu ickstrom property. Planning and Zoning Commission recommended denial on basis of the traffic hazard that wou Id be caused. Schneider moved the board go by recommendation of the commission. It was seconded and passed. Trailer courts: Planning and Zoning Commission felt an ordinance should be written up governing trailer Cltourt requirements before granting permits. They will meet Thursday night for purpose of setting up the proposed ordinance. Mr . Appleby indicated the board would meet immediately thereafter and he would ask for action on these requests at that time. Minnesota Engineering requested information about what can be built on the Johnson landfill after it is fu II. He was instructed no structure may be bu i It thereon. Earl Frye stated he and othersfelt they had been wronged in the market value set on their properties. He called for some concerted action to obtain equalization with other areas in the county. Mr. Appleby suggested we hire a realtor to spot appraise the township. He will talk to Ron fleishner Thursday evening to determine possible cost. Meeting was adjourned at 9:40 p.m.
