GROW TOWNSHIP Board of Supervisors Meeting April 14, 1970 Meeting was called to order by Chariman Louis Appleby with Supervisors Schråider and Winner, Constable Hulegaard, Building Inspector Lanseth and Zoning and Planning Board members Stout, Rither, Ho lasek, Jones and Christianson present. The minutes and treasurer's report were read and approved. A shooting ordinance addition or revision was 6Iiscussed. A shooting ban on Crooked Lake had been requested. It was considered banning shooting in an area south of Bunker Lake Road between 200 'yards east of Coon Creek and Round Lake Blvd. Other suggest ions were including shotguns in the present ordinance and banning all shooting within 200 yards of any building. A decision was postponed until the next zoning board meeting in order to choose which sections should be included. Supv. Winner read a suggested burning ordinance. Fire Warden Leonard Johnson said state allows burning from 3 p.m. to 6 a.m., and this fluctuates with existing conditions. Rither asked for poll on banning of all burning. 11 would prefer no burning at all; 18 prefer limited burning. Board sa id they were in favor of ban but fe It it wou Id not be enforceab Ie. Roger Hammer ques- tioned right of entry of fire marsha II. Beens stated he can on Iy enter in performance of his duties, a decision which could only be made after the fact. The subject of the burning ordi- nance was referred to the next meeting 1 ~ "" rP~ ~ Gilbert Menkveldt conplained about the dump not be ing covered by dirt properly. The board will check on the dump and issue a warning for proper maintenance. Don Fick requested decision on request for commercial zoning of 1 acre on Co. Rd. 18 near Constance. Duane Jones reminded board of 60-day moratorium on zoning since March 31, 1970 in order to complete overa II zoning recommendations. 'Zon ing and Plann ing Board agreed to stick by that. Individual sewage system ordinance was proposed set up from the State Board of Health suggested wording. Rither suggested seeking county agent's aid in setting up the ordinance. Building inspector suggested copies be given out with building permit. Boa.d dec ided to postpone further discussion until they had time to go over the state recommendation. Mr. Fisk requested a resolution be passed to request the Highway Dept. to study 139th Ave. from Co. Rd. 18 to Quinn for speed limits. The board ordered the attorney to send such a reso lution. Dog problem was brought up. It was dec ided to pub I ish name of dog catcher and h is phone number in Anoka paper.
