Grow Township
Minutes of Meeting
May 13, 1969
Meeting opened at Crooked Lake School, 8:00 P.M., with Super-
visors, Appleby, Winner, Schneider, clerk, treasure~ Attorney
Beens, and a few others present.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Treasurer
report given by Mrs. Eveland.
A discussion followed on monies that would be coming into
the town. The Chairman suggested a savings account for $5,000,
until land payment would be due, in December 1970. R. Schneider
motion to put $5,000 into a savings certificate at Twin City
Federal, motion seconded and approved by vote. Treasure"to
purchase savings certificate.
L. Appleby suggested town board should have copies of monthly
financial statement. L. Winner motioned t~~ve Mrs. Eveland,

10.00 a month for same, motion seconded by R. Schneider.
Appròved by all.
R. Schneider told of the "Rabbies Clinic", May 21, at Andover
Community Building. ,

Mrs. IVI "·f I\~n, said she lives TIe&!" Soley Addition and asked
board to explain section 6 of the dog ordinance. She stated
she wanted to raise and sell dogs. Norman Stout, stated she
should have a petition sighed by 50% of adjourning property -..
owners, and present it to the Board. It was mentioned, a
special use permit, probably would be needed.
Mr. , in Soley Addition, requested Town Board to
post "slow Signs" on his road. He told of the speeding, and
of the many childern in his area. Motion by Winner, to have
clerk order 10 - "20 mile speed" signs, if its legal for the
town to do so; seconded by Schneider, motion approved by those
present. Attorney Beens to investigate the legality of the
township to regulate speed zones, he will inform the Board.
A discussion on junk yards in the town followed. L. Winner
stated the whole town is getting to look as if it were one
big junk yard, he said, the town has got to do something.
He also said, there are junk problems in some residential
areas. Board will inspect, and inform all owners of 2 or
more unlicensed vehicles, in the town.

Attorney Beens, stated, Rossella Sonstebyts petition, is ready
for a hearing. Board asked zoning and plam1ng commission to
study said petition, and give their opinion. Board thought
action could be taken in July, as time would be needed f6r
hearings and posting notice.
L. Winner stated he received 3 or 4 calls on street signs
corrections. After discussion, Winner to inspect roads and
make a list of all corrections,and new signs that would be
needed.
Motion by Winner, which was seconded, to adjourn meeting,
meeting adjourn at 9:05 P.M..
