GOOD VALUE PARK NORTHGLEN II DISCUSSION
Mr. Peterson from Good Value started out by showing on the map where
the park dedicated land was located and he stated that the reason for
that area versus any other area was because of a problem with a lift
station being neede and the City dod not want that. The area that
was dedicated was good high ground with plenty of trees which Mr. Peterson
stated that he though was a plus for a park. Prochniak stated that there
was a problem as to what was actually decided and what work has been done
and he stated that we needed clarification regarding the grading and
seeding of the park area and also whether there was topsoil put on or
not. LeFebvre stated that when the Park Commission took a look at the
area in the fall, it looked as though there was not any tppsoil but that
it may have been seeded. After more di~cussion, the following motion
was made:
MOTION: by McMullen, seconded by Szyplinski to have Good Value install
two chainlink fences for the walkway and the driveway (walkway east side
of park off Underclift and driveway off 139th and Yucca) and to grade,
seed and put topsoil on an area 250 feet wide by 350 feet long to be used
for ballfield or soccer field. This work will begin in the spring of
1985 and all work to ba approved by the City Engineer and the Public Works
Supervisor. Motion carried unanimously.
CROOKED LAKE WARMING HOUSE DISCUSSION
Mr. Stone stated that he had been contacted by someone from the Andover
Advisory Council to see if it would be possible for the City to periodically
flood the ice rink at the Crooked Lake School site. Mr. Stone stated that
he would contact the Park Commission since this item was pertaining to parks.
Prochniak stated that he thought the Andover Advisory Council had already
had the flooding of the rink worked out but that something new must have
developed and the he again would contact chairperson of the Andover Advisory
Council.
MOTION: by Szyplinski, seconded by LeFebvre to recommend to the Andover
Advisory Council that they use hose from Public Works and have volunteers
flood the rink or approach the City Council if they have any further problems
in this area. Motion carried unanimously.

area. He asked the secretary to get any more information that may be helpful
in this area and send it to him. Pl'ochniak asked Mr. Stone to get information
together as to the time and cost for his staff to get ballfields prepared
for games etc. Stone stated that he co~ld get that information for the
Commission. Further discussion regarding this matter will be discussed
at the next meeting on January 3, 1984
