Motion carried unanimously. 2019 Budget Review Erick provided an unaudited one page summary of the 2019 budget to the commission members. Money continues to be put aside for long term CIP for items such as the existing roof -top units. Erick pointed out that the fund balance had a onetime withdrawl of $215,171 for the ACC expansion project. Revenue for 2020 will reflect the closure of the ice arena and field house, however having two sheets of ice which should be ready by October may help re -coop what will be lost during the closures. Turf will be put in Spring 2021. Ted mentioned that additional staff will need to be hired to cover expansion areas so we may see some additional staff costs in the 2020 budget. The 2020 budget approved by the commission remains the same, no changes. Andover Community Center Expansion Update Tony Howard asked if additional indoor cameras will be added and Erick confirmed that many new cameras will be added throughout the building. Don asked Erick if they had checked into cloud -based vs server for the new system. Erick also stated that an additional screen will be added to the front desk with cameras being viewed at a times. Ted asked if there was money in the budget for a new Zamboni, Erick indicated that $75,000 had been set -aside. A used Zamboni had been budged for, however from the direction of the Andover Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, since we already have a used Zamboni, it was suggested that a new Zamboni be purchased. Erick stated the new Zamboni's have longer lasting batteries and are more efficient. Erick said that the construction crews are working on welding both roofs together and that the South end of the new sports complex should be sealed shut soon. The construction of the new offices, meeting rooms and the extension of the main hallway has not been started yet. Andover YMCA Community Center Advisory Commission Minutes February 10, 2020 Pre -cast for the additional field house court should be installed around February 24. Construction completion time for the Sports Complex is August and athe field house court June. Ted asked if Erick had a chance to check in to the adjustable basketball hoops and Erick stated that 6 adjustable hoops will be located in the new court. The new court will be one regulation sized basketball court or can be split into two smaller courts with hoops on the side.
