Approval of Minutes Recap November 27, 2018 Andover City Council Workshop — Strike last sentence — The council vote was 3-2 with the city council directing staff to take the documents and prepare for bid. Motion by Tony Howard, second by Tony Peterson ACC Expansion Discussion Erick updated the committee on the possible expansion. Erick updated the group on the latest council meeting and the direction given to staff. Time lines and planning are next to be discussed. A meeting with 292 and RJM is scheduled for next week to start and lay out the schedule. Staff will be meeting with the different engineering groups to go over plans as they are prepared for bid later in the winter/spring. AHYHA Updated Tony Peterson updated the group on AHYHA. December was a hard month for scheduling due to all the home high school games eating into the hours available. Outdoor ice has been good so that has helped a bit with the younger groups. AHYHA has a concern on outdoor rink lighting and the schedules the lights are on. Staff will communicate with the Parks group and try and help resolve the concerns. YMCA Update Allison stated that the facility was extremely busy over the holiday beak and that has continued into early January. There are over 600 kids currently enrolled in YMCA swim programs for winter 2019. YMCA staff continues to look at expansion needs on their end and communication continues with the city and 292 Design. Andover YMCA Community Center Advisory Commission Minutes January 14, 2019 ACC Update Erick gave a brief updated on city programs and events ongoing at the Community Center. Facility is very busy with winter users and programs. Winter learn to skate, and indoor soccer programs have started up and both programs are full. Lots of high school hockey games. Staff has been bust with possible expansion meetings. Motion by Tony Peterson, second by Allison Boes, to adjourn the meeting at 7:25 pm. Next meeting scheduled for Feb. 11, 2019.
