I feel I would be an asset to the Park and Recreation Advisory Commission due to my leadership on the Program Steering Committee at PACT Charter School in Ramsey, where I served three years as vice chairperson and four years as chairperson. During my time as committee chair I also served on multiple task forces, including expansion planning and mission / vision development. In addition to my volunteer work at PACT, I have served in leadership roles in outreach and missions programs at Grace Lutheran Church in Andover. My family moved to Andover in the early 1970's and I have lived here nearly all of my life. I am so proud to live in a city where the integrity and character of the city is an obvious priority as it grows and develops. My husband, three children and I have enjoyed Andover parks, YMCA and Community Center, athletic fields and © facilities greatly over the years. I welcome the opportunity to meet with the Council to further discuss my qualifications for serving the city of Andover. I believe my experience has given me the skills to make a valuable contribution to our community. Sincerely, Dawn Perra a Pa C I T Y. O F O LA, Q 1685 CROSSTOWN BOULEVARD N.W.. I have served as a commissioner for the last year and have grown to know each of Andover's Open Spaces well. I have worked well with other commissioners to develop management plans, potential budget proposals and to address site needs (such as signage, invasive species removal stations, etc.) as appropriate. Additionally, I believe I'm an asset to the Open Space Commission for my willingness to spend additional. personal time on efforts that benefit Andover's Open Spaces. Recently, I spent some personal time doing research with the city of Blaine to better understand how they acquired funding to accomplish their Open Space Management Objectives. I also come to meetings prepared to do the additional writing or organizing that needs to be done with our management plans in order to prepare them for potential capital spending requests or other funding proposals. Should the Commission decide to pursue additional grant opportunities, I would be happy to assist with the drafting of those proposals. I have a great deal of experience in grant writing in the field of natural resources; my career at DNR and throughout graduate school allowed me numerous opportunities to pursue funding (some of which I was successful). I look forward to continuing to serve the City of Andover. I welcome the opportunity to discuss any of this with you further. Sincerely, Anna Dirkswager C C] ANNA L. My family and I moved to Andover last December and we really like it here and I would like to do what I can to get involved and help out at a local level. It's something that has interested me for a long time and now being in a home where we plan to stay, it feels like the right time. I should add that this would be the first time I have ever applied for any kind of position like this so it will be a learning experience into the way city politics work. At least that's what I hope. The position of Open Space Advisory Commission interested me because I grew up in the country and keeping as much country and wildlife in our city would mean a lot to me. I've lived in the Twin Cities since 2000 and it really feels good to hear coyotes howling at night again. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope it adds a little carity to your consideration. Sincerely, Ryan Ingebritson
