SUBJECT: 5. Consider Protective Netting Quote at Andover Station North Ball Field
Facility, Cont. /15 -34
DATE: June 25, 2015
INTRODUCTION
This item is in regard to considering protective netting quote at Andover Station North Ball Field
Facility.
DISCUSSION
The item was tabled from the last meeting on May 21, 2015. Attached is a layout of where the
netting would be located and estimate to purchase and install the netting.
BUDGETIMPACT
As a reminder this is not identified in the Capital Improvement Plan for 2015. The Park
Commission may wish to utilize the $15,000 annual miscellaneous fund that is available each
year. With the higher cost, not sure what the commitment will be from the Andover Baseball
Association (ABA). Previously ABA has committed to offer to pay for half the cost but that
commitment was based on netting of the backstop only. It is my understanding that ABA Board
will be meeting soon to discuss the estimate.
ACTION REQUIRED
The Park and Recreation Commission is requested to consider the option of netting and fencing
of the west and middle field at Andover Station North Ball Field Facility.
Respectfully submitted,
Todd J. aas

SUBJECT: 8. Discuss Questionnaire /City Campus Expansion Master Plan/15 -22
DATE: June 25, 2015
INTRODUCTION
The Park and Recreation Commission is requested to provide responses to attached questionnaire
in regards to City Campus Expansion Master Plan.
DISCUSSION
The attached questionnaire is the same questionnaire that was previously sent to the Park
Commission. Since the City staff only received one response from one of the Commissioners,
staff felt it was important enough that the Commission should discuss this at a meeting and agree
as a group what the responses should be for each of the questions.
Also attached is aerial map of the property that the City owns or that is currently under purchase
agreement with the property owner. Just as a reminder everything is open for discuss including
the existing City Hall Outdoor Hockey Rink Complex. Keep in mind that there has been
discussion in the past about an area for additional fields of some sort.
Note: HCM Architects will be meeting individually with each of the Stakeholders groups over
the next month. The Park and Recreation Commission is scheduled to meet HCM Architects on
Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 6 pm (prior to the regular meeting).
ACTION REQUIRED
The Park and Recreation Commission is requested to provide responses to attached questionnaire
in regards to City Campus Expansion Master Plan.
