Absent: Mark Chevalier Call to Order 6:43 pm Approval of Minutes — February 10, 2014 - minutes approved as written. YMCA Update e 5,000 more visits this March compared to March 2013 • Membership goals were met in both February & March © • AOA/Silver Sneakers gained 100+ members • Youth programs ramping up for summer — expecting 450 kids /day onsite. • Youth sports programs to begin 4/14 • YPartners goal raised $72,000, surpassed goal of $68,000. A $10,000 donation was received from Medtronic. Frank suggested that the Y mention this generous donation in an upcoming city newsletter. The Y is working with Medtronic on appropriate acknowledgement protocol. • Healthy Living 5K Race coming in June. Event expected to bring in 300+ racers and proceeds help benefit YPartners. • The YMCA will be hosting a "baby shower" to help collect items for Hope4Youth. ACC Update Status Report: Staff reviewed the status report which was included in the meeting packet. March was an extremely busy month with major events held most weekends throughout the month. The parking lots were filled to capacity. Something to look at for next year, ensure snow piles are removed from lots to allow maximum parking spaces. Staff provided a P & L ACC Program handout to commission members and reviewed. Security Cameras — Andover City Administrator directed staff to obtain quotes for 3 security cameras to be located at the entrance /exits of the Andover YMCA Community Center. Quotes indicated the cost to be around $30,000. Mr. Kellogg would like to be notified of when this agenda item will go to council. Andover YMCA Community Center Advisory Commission Minutes April 7, 2014 E Other Business: Erick, updated the commission on the status of the R -22 (Freon) which is used in the ice rink refrigeration system. Staff will provide update to commission as more information becomes available. Expansion - Allison has not heard any feedback from the YMCA regarding a plan for the capital campaign to assist with building expansion expenses. Allison will follow -up with Y executives and provide update at our next meeting. The next meeting will be scheduled for Monday, May 12, 2014.
