Adjournment M ANDOVER ECONOMICDEVELOPMENTAUTHORITYMEETING DECEMBER 16, 2014 - MINUTES A meeting of the Andover Economic Development Authority was called to order by President Mike Gamache, December 16, 2014, 6:00 p.m., at the Andover City Hall, 1685 Crosstown Boulevard NW, Andover, Minnesota. Present: Commissioners Sheri Bukkila, Mike Knight, Julie Trude, Timothy Cleven and Joyce Twistol Absent: Commissioner Tony Howard Also present: Community Development Director, David Carlberg Executive Director, Jim Dickinson APPROVAL OF MINUTES © November 18, 2014, Regular Meeting: Correct as presented. Motion by Trude, Seconded by Bukkila, approval of the Minutes as presented. Motion carried unanimously. DISCUSS ANDOVER STA TION NOR TH LAND SALE Mr. Carlberg indicated Mr. Murli Nagwani, owner of the Foundation Hill Montessori & Child Care is interested in purchasing Lot 1, Block 1, Andover Station North 3rd Addition. Mr. Nagwani is interested in constructing a 6,000 — 7,000 square foot addition to the current building. Mr. Carlberg stated staff met with Mr. Nagwani to discuss the price of the property and the purchase price offer Mr. Nagwani submitted to staff. The property is currently on the market for $220,000; Mr. Nagwani offered $180,000 which included park dedication fees and water /sewer fees. Mr. Carlberg reviewed a spreadsheet which included the 2008 cost of Mr. Nagwani's current property and the costs for the property currently on the market. The EDA discussed the property. Commissioner Bukkila stated Mr. Nagwani's offer is too low. The EDA agreed. The EDA directed staff to work with Mr. Nagwani on the sale of the property with a purchase price of $220,000 and a couple fees may be included. Andover Economic Development Authority Meeting Minutes — December 16, 2014 Page 2 OTHER BUSINESS Mr. Dickinson stated the land sale to DSTI closing is scheduled for December 29, 2014. Mr. Dickinson indicated Premier Bank (1777 Bunker Lake Boulevard) plans to remodel the spring of 2015. Commissioner Trude asked about the CDBG grant application. Mr. Carlberg answered a study will be conducted of the areas that do not have city water. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Bukkila, Seconded by Trude to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously.
