YMCA Update A worksheet was provided with an update on the Andover YMCA and the final numbers for our 2012 -13 tot -time program. Staff Update Fun Fest — The Community Center is working on plans for Andover Fun Fest scheduled for July 12 -13. There are currently 88 booths registered for the craft sale. The HTH Hockey Tournament is scheduled and the outdoor activities and booths are all set. , Status Report- The ACC status report was reviewed. 2013 -14 Rates The facility manager reviewed with the commission the rates of several other local facilities. Also, the new fieldhouse facility at Anoka/Ramsey Community College was discussed. After some discussion it was determined to not change the rates for our gym use. The ice arena rates were discussed and after reviewing rates from other local ice arenas is was determined to raise the prime winter rate to $192.00 per hour, a $2.00 increase. The non -prime rate was raised to $145.00 per hour, a $5.00 increase. Motion by Mike Knight, second by Frank Kellogg, approved unanimously. Other Business Mr. Kellogg talked about his wish to establish a relationship with Hope 4 Youth. Anything the Community Center can do to help. Some ideas were to be a drop off site for donations, a city fund raiser where other cities are encouraged to match dollars and a way to get the Sherriff's office involved. City staff along with YMCA staff will continue the discussion and continue to look at the best ways to support Hope 4 Youth. Staff will try and get a representative from both Hope 4 Youth and the Sherriff's office together at a future meeting. Andover YMCA Community Center Advisory Commission Minutes June 10, 2013 Next meeting will be held on Monday, July 10"' at the Andover YMCA Community Center in room B.
