The specs were written for a standard change over to fiberglass tanks and piping to get away from rust and corrosion. ZAHL EQUIPMENT COMPANY Total bid with single wall fiberglass tank & piping $28,572.00 $ 8,797.00 Option A - Pump card system Option B - Double wall fiberglass tanks & piping Add $200.00 for island bumpers $ 5,786.00 $ 200.00 Item bid on clean site, contaminated soil removal, disposal additional. Soil and site analysis will be charged on a time and material basis. Tanks have a 30 year warranty; one year warranty on all other equipment. TOTAL WITH OPTION A $27,655.00 $36,775.00 $45,970.00 TOTAL BID WITHOUT OPTIONS TOTAL WITH OPTION B All underground would be done in three weeks and total installation done in 60 days. We have budgeted $15,000 under "Public Works Building" and were going to bond $15,000 which gives us a total of $30,000. We have $8,000 left from the Vacal unit that was ordered giving us a total of $38,000.00. If you would increase the bonding by $5,150.00 or use moneys left over from the 1979 Fire Department/Public Works Building Bond, we would have a total of $43,150.00. I would then recommend acceptance of the low bid from Zahl Equipment Company for the complete package for a total of $43,150.00. ..]
